One key role of the Mendocino County Fire Safe Council (MCFSC) is to help identify, define and prioritize wildfire preparation and mitigation work that will help our community survive and thrive in this wildfire prone enviroment. To do that we depend on residents and our network of Neighborhood Fire Safe Councils, who know their area’s needs and potential hazards better than anyone else can, to help identify and document needed projects. With that documentation in hand we can advance those projects for grant funding or other support as opportunities become available. The data provided also helps us prioritize projects as resources become available.
